Micah Ganiron was only in the second grade when he received a ukulele as a gift from his Grandma. He connected with the four-string instrument right away and soon began taking lessons from ukulele pros, Jake and Bruce Shimabukuro. Eventually, Micah started teaching at Ukulele Hale in Kaimuki while regularly performing at Disney Aulani Resort & Spa’s signature “Star lit Hui” show with the musical trio, Heart & Soul. Continuing his love for music, Micah has enjoyed performing and teaching ukulele in both Hawaii and Japan, and gained experience with a variety of corporate gigs such as with the Disney Cruise Line and at the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Convention, as well as his own solo Hawaiian Islands tour.
Micah always dreamed of making music that featured his voice and his love of the ukulele. His first foray was with “All In,” a single he released in April 2017. Then with the support of Kanile'a Ukulele and music producer Kapena Delima of Bu Print Studios, Micah released his first EP, “The Origin,” which featured four original songs and a cover of a Christian song in June 2017. In March 2019, Micah recorded "The Covers EP,” which was produced by Sub-Lo, alongside band mates Keith Molina and Dane Stilwell, whom he also performs with as “Micah Ganiron & Friends,” entertaining audiences with cover tunes and originals songs.
As a ukulele instructor, Micah has taught his technique to many students throughout Hawaii including the popular duo, Honoko & Azita, and Karlie Goya (who won her first Nā Hōkū Hanohano award in May 2019). Currently, Micah has released his newest single,"Let Me Sing," on July of 2019, which was recorded at Zeo Music Studio and produced by Nā Hōkū Hanohano award winning artist/music producer, Imua Garza. Micah is looking forward to writing more music and finding ways to showcase his instrument of choice, the ukulele.
